The rule that wins every time

No worker ever pays to work, and no one is exploited to make a placement.

When two priorities collide, this one decides. We would rather lose the deal than break it. It is the whole reason EA Rekrutim exists.

The red lines

Hard rules, not guidelines

Each of these is a hard rule in our contracts and our daily work. Breaking any one is grounds to stop a file, and where it is serious, to report it.

Always Leave every passport with its owner.
Never Hold or "keep safe" a worker's passport.
Always Put contracts in writing, in the worker's language.
Never Rely on verbal promises.
Always Verify every document and every employer.
Never Place a ghost worker or a fake job.
Always Keep an audit trail of every payment.
Never Make facilitation payments to officials.
Always Place workers only in the permitted role.
Never Switch a worker to a different job or employer.
Always Follow up after arrival, at 15, 30 and 60 days.
Never Disappear once the fee is paid.
Always Walk away from a file that smells wrong.
Never Profit from anyone's desperation.

Where our red lines come from

Law of the Republic of Kosovo

We are a registered employment agency. Our contracts, permits and daily practice are designed to comply with Kosovo law, with oversight from Rule and Law L.L.C.

ILO Convention 181

The international convention on private employment agencies. Its core requirement is also ours: services to workers are free of charge, and their rights are protected.

IOM ethical-recruitment principles

Safeguards against debt bondage, document retention, deception and trafficking, applied at every stage of the corridor we operate.

If a rule is broken, we want to know first.

If anyone, including anyone claiming to represent EA Rekrutim, asks a worker for money, holds documents, or describes a job that does not match reality, tell us. We will stop the file, investigate, and where it is serious, report it to the authorities.

  • No retaliation Raising a concern will never cost a worker their placement with us.
