Students in the Gateway to Trades program at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û²éѯ celebrated completion of their program at a graduation ceremony held on Jan. 26, 2024.

Gateway to Trades is a unique collaboration between Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û²éѯ and Central School and helps open doors for students who otherwise might not consider higher education. Students in Grades 10-12 have an opportunity to explore trades training with hands-on programs like carpentry, electrical work, automotive and sheet metal. In addition to academic development, Gateway to Trades focuses on students' holistic growth by supporting the youth in attending community and social activities.

"Gateway helps us all start our lives and make careers, but I would say it saved my life," said Gateway to Trades graduate Kaden. The 16-week program helped Kaden make new and better choices, build unbreakable friendships and develop confidence and pride in himself.
