Program details

This 20-course (60 credit) post-baccalaureate diploma is aimed at students with a recognized bachelor's degree in any non-business program, who wish to pursue a career in business operations management. Graduates of this program will learn to apply business practices aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes to create value for organizations. Students entering the program will require successful completion of Statistics 121/124 or equivalent. Students cannot be granted more than five course exemptions within this program and must take appropriate alternative business courses to ensure diploma completion. To be granted exemption an equivalent course must have been successfully completed within 10 years.


Key Program Learning Outcomes:

Students who complete the Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Operations Management will:

  1. Obtain basic business knowledge needed for business operations
  2. Understand operations management and its application for creating business value
  3. Develop skills and ability to manage supply chain resources in organizations
  4. Develop knowledge and skills in methods for improving business processes

Students could apply for course-by-course advanced standing with Supply Chain Canada towards receiving a professional designation.

This two-year program is designed for students that have already completed a non-Business undergraduate degree.

Admission requirements

  • Complete all of the following:
    • Successful completion of a recognized bachelor's degree in any non-business program.
    • Students with degree transcripts from outside of Canada must provide a World Education Services assessment (WES) with an ICAP evaluation as part of their admission requirements for this credential.
    • Students must also provide proof of completion of an introductory statistics course transferable to Stat 121 or Stat 124
  • Program requirements:

Notes

Students cannot be granted more than five course exemptions within this program and must take appropriate alternative business courses to ensure diploma completion. Exemptions must be approved by the Business Department. To be granted exemption an equivalent course must have been successfully completed within 10 years.

Successful completion of the prescribed courses as listed in the program outline with a minimum graduating grade average of 60%.
