Writing for Humans: How Good Communication in the Tech Sector Can Change the World
Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û²éѯ’s Department of Communications is pleased to present an evening with Chris Danek, CTO and Cofounder of Rule of Cool Studios, a video game production company based in Kelowna, B.C.
Drawing on his diverse and successful history in a variety of roles and industries, Chris will talk about the importance of effective communication in the tech sector—how to connect with audiences, pitch ideas, work well with others, and of course write clean code and documentation that others can follow. In short, he’s going to explain how you can use your communication skills to change the world.
Chris has worked in the tech sector for 25 years as a developer, consultant, founder, and product and project manager for dozens of companies including the UFC, PokerStars, UBC, and three of his own startups. He is a C# zealot, enjoys programming and open source and all things nerdy.
The event is on March 28 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Centre for Dialogue (E202) at the Kelowna campus.
Admission is free, but Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û²éѯ students and faculty are asked to register in advance as space is limited. .
